Svalbard Trek have continued to thrive this season with four more podiums since Windhoek ITT and another top 10 in the Entrecasteaux GP classic.
A first classics win was the teams aim for the season and with the great form of Sigurd Sande, it seemed as though trek were in with a great chance. Unfortunately he was beaten to the top step of the podium in the final sprint but managed to seal second. Nightingale was to finish a respectable sixth.
Sande was looking for redemption in the Nome ITT and found it, winning comfortably on the 29 km hilly course with Delmar Bocook narrowly missing the podium in fourth.
Bocook was to have his day in the limelight, winning the Tortola Island tour with Sande joining him on the podium in third.
It means that it is our most successful season in terms of wins ever with us only requiring just three more podiums to equal our most successful season ever.
It is a requirement to note that the current team is ageing and new talent is needed. It has yet to be decided in which direction the team wants to branch out into with cobble captain's seemingly hard to come by and the possibility of training Kevin Noach and Gavrail Gospodinov in order to target a tour such as the odessy of the Odyx
